A MESSAGE FROM THE CREATORS
Welcome to the (virtual) HBS Show! For 47 years, the HBS Show has been an annual tradition, bringing writers, actors, directors, producers, and musicians from across the Harvard Business School community together to put on a hilarious and engaging musical theater parody. We were fully prepared and excited to present our show to you in Klarman with a cast of forty singers and dancers and a dozen musicians. We know the entire HBS community is struggling with the difficulties of the COVID-19 crisis and the HBS Show family is no different. We were devastated when our in-person performances became an impossibility.
But the show must go on! Over the past three weeks, our team of over 100 students, administrators, family, and friends have pitched in to completely retool and reimagine the HBS Show so that we can still share it with you! Our move off the stage and onto Zoom at a moment's notice required immense dedication, creativity, and hours of hard work from everyone involved. We would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to everyone who helped make the HBS Show 2020 possible in these unprecedented times.
Everything you will see and hear is either coming to you live or was recorded on our performers’ phones in the last few weeks. We hope you will enjoy this novel form of entertainment, our virtual musical.
This evening is meant to bring us back to the HBS experience we know and love. However, we also recognize the severity of the global situation. The HBS Show is partnering with HBS Got Talent to raise money for the Boston Resiliency Fund, to support Boston residents most affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Please donate what you can to this important cause - we can all play a role in stopping this crisis and helping those in need.
We hope the HBS Show will provide you with some much needed joy and laughter. Thank you for joining us as we laugh along with the rest of the HBS community.
